Growth Report: Big Wins Highlight 2016

Our client base in 2016 included small, medium and huge organizations.
Pecchia Communications registered strong results in 2016 and expects further increases in volume in the year ahead.
Revenue in the past year rose more than 25 percent from the previous year, largely on the strength of new engagements with GE Digital, a unit of General Electric, and American Electric Power, based in Columbus, one of the nation’s largest electric utilities. Both involved communications campaigns that supported major technology-driven changes.
“We enjoyed a nice upswing in the change management segment of our business after a couple quiet years,” said Dan Pecchia, president of Pecchia Comm. “We’ve been fortunate now to provide our communications management and writing expertise to eight of these major corporate projects since 2006. It’s challenging work that has sharpened our capabilities.”
The service to AEP, through a subcontract with Capgemini, a global consulting firm, will continue through late 2017.
Locally, Pecchia Comm enjoyed continued activity with its longest-term clients – Harrington Hoppe & Mitchell, Ankle & Foot Care Centers and Aim NationaLease, all served by the Canfield firm since shortly after it opened in 2005. Another local highlight was a communications plan and campaign for a large nonprofit organization that consolidated its services.
Pecchia and his two colleagues, Tony Paglia and Jordan Cohen, are former Mahoning Valley news professionals who bring strong capabilities and experience in crafting compelling content, often under challenging deadlines. They work from their homes and client offices.
“Most of our clients, regardless of size, are looking for genuine communications expertise and competitive pricing, which don’t often exist together,” Pecchia said. “Our deep experience and low cost structure enable us to meet both of those needs.”
The firm expects to add capacity this year to handle the higher volume.
