
Sara Pecchia, an experienced writer and communications leader, supports our team as a part-time consultant. She brings strengths in writing, editing, materials development, project management and social media strategy.
Sara has been a communications manager with Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Engineering in Pittsburgh since early 2021. Prior to that, she served in communications roles with Walt Disney Co. in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., for 11 years, most recently as communications manager for Disney’s Internships & Programs division. In 2013, Sara won the prestigious Walt Disney Legacy Award, an honor bestowed annually to employees who excel at reflecting Mr. Disney’s legacy.
She graduated summa cum laude from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., with a bachelor of science degree in public relations. She is a Canfield High School alumnus and lives in Celebration, Fla., with her husband, Jesse Jasso.
Sara is a worship leader at Real Life Church in Clermont, Fla., and donates her time to support many initiatives of the Salvation Army’s Orlando chapter. She enjoys live music and theater, volunteering and planning special events.
