
Tom Delamater, senior consultant, is a longtime PR pro with strengths across a wide range of industries and capabilities on both the agency and client sides.
Since joining Pecchia Communications in 2019, he has managed ongoing publication programs for three of our largest clients and also led a range of media relations, writing, social media, video and marketing projects.
Before he joined Pecchia Comm, Tom was chief public relations officer for Collin College, a community college district comprising 11 campuses in Collin County, Texas.
Before that, in addition to serving his own clients as a public relations consultant, Tom led communications and marketing for the Canton City School District and was a senior account executive at Innis Maggiore in Canton. He is also a former communications lead for Meals On Wheels of Stark and Wayne Counties.
Early in his career Tom was an editor with a magazine publishing house in California and a creative director with a national direct mail catalog company in Texas.
An experienced voiceover artist, Tom has narrated numerous regional advertising campaigns and corporate video projects.
Tom holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees and taught university journalism, public relations and advertising classes for more than a decade. Active in community service and economic development throughout his career, he has been on several chamber boards and committees in Ohio and Texas.
Tom enjoys golf and painting and favors abstract art, particularly in the abstract expressionist style. A gallery of his artwork can be viewed on his personal website.
